Die-struck Pins

Die Struck, Die Stamped

The term die-struck refers to the process in which a die is used to stamp the pin's impression onto sheet metal (usually brass, copper or iron). After being struck by the die, the many impressions are cut out to form the individual pin faces. From this point, various finishing processes, plating, and coloring techniques can be applied.
