By using, visiting, or browsing the Pinsanity.com Web site or the Online Museum of UPS Collectibles & Memorabilia Web site, both to be referred to as simply the Pinsanity.com Web site, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions, you should not use the Pinsanity.com Web site.

Pinsanity.com reserves the right, from time to time, with or without notice to you, to change these Terms & Conditions in our sole discretion. AVAILABILITY OF ITEMS:
Although every effort will be made to keep each listing updated, certain items may not be available even though they are listed as being so. Trades and orders are filled on a first-come first-served basis.

After placing your order, you will receive an email from Pinsanity.com confirming the order and the availability of each item, usually within 48 hours. In the rare event that an item is no longer available, you will promptly receive a refund for that item.
Pinsanity.com reserves the right to cancel any order or to turn down any trade offer for any reason.
TRADING ITEMS WITH PINSANITY.COM:

Pin Trading


We are basically collectors and we like to trade. In the event that we do have more than one of a specific pin that you are interested in (other than what is in our permanent collection), we would be interested in negotiating a trade for a UPS-related item that you may have to offer. Please note that all pins being offered by Pinsanity.com are new or in like-new condition unless otherwise noted. Older or "vintage" items may show some effects of age (minor wear, fading, yellowing, etc.) but otherwise will be in collectable condition unless noted. We ask that you make sure that all pins being offered to us in trade are in this same new or like-new condition. We reserve the right to reverse a trade, in part or in whole, if we receive any item(s) that do not meet our standards.

In case you do not have anything to offer in trade, or if we cannot come up with an equitable trade that is mutually satisfying, we will sell the item to you if so desired. For this reason, you will find all our available pins for sale in the Available Items section. The prices are based on either their current trade values or the actual cost that we paid to obtain them.


Pin Points

We have discovered that it helps to group similarly valued pins together in order to give a rough idea of what may be a reasonable trade offer. For this reason, we have developed a simple "Pinsanity Pin Point" system to help serve as a guide in the initial stages of trade negotiations.

We assign a point value to each pin. Some of the factors taken into consideration in assigning a point value are the pin's history, age, rarity, condition, cost, supply, and demand.


One-for-One Trades

When proposing a one-pin-for-one-pin trade, the pins involved should be in the same pin point range in order to be considered equitable. Meaning a 1.5 point pin for a 1.5 point pin, or a 3 point pin for a 3 point pin, etc. Please keep in mind that this does not mean that the point values must match exactly. In some cases, a variance of a half a point or so would be acceptable.


Multiple Pin Trades

Trade proposal guidelines involving multiple pins are basically as simple as the one-for-one trades discussed above. The only difference is that we will be totaling the pin points on each side. As long as the pin point totals are similar, it is not necessary for the amount of pins to be equal.


Let the negotiations begin!

Although this system works well for an initial proposal, the resulting trade-offers often need a little fine-tuning once negotiations begin. Please remember, that is exactly what this is--a friendly negotiation. Each side should be completely satisfied with the proposal before a final trade is agreed upon. If you do not like the proposed trade, it is perfectly fine to offer a counter proposal, or to kindly say "No thanks". Either way, communication is key. It is common courtesy to keep each party informed of the other's decision or thoughts by emailing in a timely fashion.


Completing the trade

After both parties agree on a trade, one of the last tasks needed to be performed in order to finalize the transaction is to ship the pin(s). In most cases, each party will pay for the shipping of the pins they are trading. For your protection, we highly recommend using a carrier that supplies tracking and/or delivery confirmation services (insurance is another recommended option). It is the responsibility of each party to package the pin(s) in a container that will prevent the merchandise from being damaged during transit (e.g., use bubble wrap and sturdy packaging).

Once you have established a good trading-report with Pinsanity.com, we will both send our pins simultaneously. Until then, and for our protection, we ask that we receive your trade items first before we ship out ours. In these cases, we will usually ship our items within one business day of receiving yours.

Again, communication is essential, e-mails informing the other person when pins have been sent (and when pins have been received) are commonplace.


If problems should happen to arise

In the rare and unfortunate event that a problem arises, both parties agree to make every effort to reach an amicable solution.

Wrong item(s) shipped or received: If the item(s) shipped or received is other than that was agreed upon, the consignee will return the wrong item(s) while the original shipper will ship the correct item(s) to the original consignee; all at the original shipper's expense.

Items received in an unacceptable condition: If the item(s) are received in a condition that was not previously agreed upon, the consignee will return said item(s) to the original shipper. The original shipper will either replace the item(s) with identical item(s) that are in acceptable condition, or if such replacement is not available, will return whatever item(s) received in trade for said item(s). All at the original shipper's expense.

Items never arrive: Ultimately, it will be the responsibility of the shipper to prove that the items were delivered to the intended receiving party or one of its agents in order for the trade to be considered completed (a delivery signature or delivery confirmation from the carrier will be considered proof of delivery). If delivery is proven, the trade will be considered final by both parties and no further action taken. If delivery can not be proven, the shipping party is in default and must return the item(s) it received in trade for the missing items, or if the party that did not receive the items has not yet shipped its items, that party shall not be obligated to complete the trade.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING & HANDLING COSTS FOR PINS:

At Pinsanity.com, we offer our customers various shipping choices so they can select the one that is right for them. If no optional shipping method (Priority Mail or UPS) is added to your order by clicking the corresponding button on top of any page in our "Available Items" section, your pins will be mailed via 1st Class Mail. Please note that if you have not chosen to have your pins shipped via UPS, your shipment is not insured against loss or damage. The UPS option is the most efficient method of shipping and also supplies superior tracking capabilities and insurance coverage. UPS shipping is strongly recommended for all large orders. The choice is up to you.

Shipping prices for pins are as follows:
Mail rates quoted are for US orders only.
UPS rate quoted is for continental US orders only. UPS requires a street address as they do not deliver to PO boxes. Army Post Office (APO) and Fleet Post Office (FPO) addresses are not accepted.

1st Class Mail (up to 20 pins): Default shipping method

• $0.85 each for the 1st pin of each individual design; plus $0.25 each for additional pins.

Priority Mail (up to 20 pins): Optional shipping method, additional fee applies

• $3.50 Priority Mail fee for entire order plus
• $0.85 each for the 1st pin of each individual design; plus $0.25 each for additional pins.

UPS Ground (up to 40 pins), insured: Optional shipping method, additional fee applies

• $9.00 UPS Ground fee for entire order plus
• $0.85 each for the 1st pin of each individual design; plus $0.25 each for additional pins.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING COSTS FOR PINS:

All International customers using our shopping cart system must add our International Airmail shipping surcharge to their order by clicking the corresponding button on top of any page in our "Available Items" section. Failure to do so will result in the order being canceled and payment refunded if already made. All Custom duties and fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Please do not ask us to falsify the customs declaration by changing the value or nature of the items being shipped. The default International shipping method is USPS Airmail (uninsured).

Please note that if you have not chosen to have your pins shipped via UPS (considerable additional charges apply), your shipment is not insured against loss or damage. The UPS option is the most efficient method of shipping and also supplies superior tracking capabilities and insurance coverage. UPS shipping is strongly recommended for all large orders. The choice is up to you.

The following shipping and handling costs will apply to all International Airmail orders (up to 10 pins):

• US$5.00 International Airmail fee for entire order (customer must add this by clicking the International Airmail button) plus
• US$0.85 each for the 1st pin of each individual design; plus US$0.25 each for additional pins.
PAYMENT OPTIONS FOR PIN ORDERS:

International orders are encouraged to be paid by PayPal International, although International Postal Money Orders, Cash (US$ only), and personal checks drawn on an US bank will also be accepted.

Domestic orders: We prefer payment through PayPal, which lets me receive your payment instantly and ship your item(s) sooner. To pay quickly and securely with your credit card or checking account using this service, all qualified customers may use our convenient shopping cart system or go to www.PayPal.com (payments are to be sent to the account e-mail address: web-sales@pinsanity.com). If you are not registered with this totally free service, you can do so within 5 minutes by clicking here.

If you need to return such an item, please e-mail Pinsanity.com within 30 days of receipt explaining the circumstances and to receive return instructions. A RMA number will then be issued. Absolutely no returns will be accepted without a RMA number.

All items other than pins will be shipped via UPS Ground, insured. If your order consists of a combination of pins plus other non-pin items, the shipping cost for the pins will follow the terms listed above. The pins will be included in the UPS Ground shipment containing the non-pin items no matter what shipping method is chosen for the pins. Shipping cost for each of the non-pin items is posted on the "Available Items" pages listing each item. UPS rates quoted are for continental US orders only. UPS does not deliver to P.O. Boxes.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING COSTS FOR REPLICAS & ITEMS OTHER THAN PINS:

We do not internationally ship items other than pins at this time.

CUSTOM PIN DISPLAY GUARANTEE:

PINSANITY.COM provides a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee on its custom pin display frames!   First off, we sincerely want you to be pleased with our product. If for any reason you are unhappy with your on-line purchase, we're committed to making it right. We will gladly refund, exchange or replace any of our custom displays which fail to meet reasonable aesthetic and performance expectations. We also want to be completely up-front about all the 'fine-print' and any stipulations so there are no surprises in the unlikely event should you not be completely satisfied with your purchase.

Here is our policy:  Take your display out of the box, feel free to use it and make sure you love it!  We feel that within ten days of having the item you will be able to tell if your purchase is all that you expected it to be.  If within those ten days you decide you would like to return your purchase, just request a RMA number!  While ten days may seem like a short amount of time, let us explain why we keep a ten-day trial period: If an item is returned to us "used", we can no longer sell it as "new". So each returned item we accept in this condition is actual lost revenue. In order to continue to keep prices low, we must take into account such returns. Being quite confident in our product, we feel strongly that the customer should be completely satisfied with their purchase and are willing to accept the responsibility of the lost revenue to keep our customers happy! Also, PayPal (our payment processor) requires that all refunds be made within thirty days of initial payment in order for you, the customer, to avoid incurring any processing fees. By taking in account the time to process your original order, transit time for your order to reach you, and the time required for the return process to take place, our ten-day trial period allows ample time for you to ship the return and for us to process your refund within that thirty days. Here is the nitty gritty of everything:

  • We require displays to be returned prepaid, unaltered in the condition they were shipped by us. Just make sure it's in like-new condition and packed securely in the original packaging material.
  • Products returned damaged, worn, or with missing parts will be subject to a restocking fee of up to 50% of purchase price on a case by case basis*.
  • All display returns require a RMA number (request at: returns@pinsanity.com) or packages will be refused with return shipping being the customer's responsibility.
  • RMA numbers must be requested within 10 days of receipt or 15 days of initial purchase, whichever is longer.
  • After a RMA number is issued it will need to be shipped within 5 days of issuance or within 20 days of initial purchase, whichever is longer.
  • No matter what, RMA shipments must be received within 28 days of initial purchase.
  • Any items returned more than 28 days after initial purchase will be refunded at our discretion and subject to PayPal processing fees and a 5% late fee.
  • Refunds will be for merchandise only, sorry we can not refund original shipping and handling costs unless the return is due to a defect*.
  • Any items which were ordered with a 'free shipping' promotion will be credited the price of the unit.  Actual shipping charges that were incurred will be deducted from the total refunded.
  • We will refund your money promptly via PayPal upon receipt of returned display(s).
  • Please allow up 2 to 7 days for processing of the refund.
  • No fees added if returned within our guidelines!

*Orders being returned because they arrived to you defective or damaged will be replaced without charge.
